Unlocking Everyday Challenges with the ChatGPT Mobile App
Hey friends,
I’ve got something super cool to share in this week’s newsletter—my adventures with ChatGPT on my phone!
So, why am I so pumped about it?
Well, it's like having a buddy in your pocket who's ready to dive into any challenge, anytime, anywhere.
I was always the type of person when I didn’t know something, I would literally just search it up.
Often times, I would even just look on Youtube for an explainer video.
It was natural for me because I genuinely love to learn.
But there were certain topics, that sometimes weren’t necessarily interesting to me.
Instead, they were favors asked from friends and family that needed help with certain problems.
Let me give you two very recent examples.
1) Unlocking the Old iPhone Saga
Picture this:
I’m in Colombia, and my father-in-law whips out an old iPhone, locked and loaded (well, more locked than loaded 😅).
He asks if there is any way I can unlock it because he wanted to use this device just for music (yes, he likes to play music on his bluetooth speakers everyday).
Well, instead of spiraling down the YouTube rabbit hole or sifting through endless Google searches, I popped a question to the ChatGPT mobile app.
The reason I like the mobile app for situations like this is because I use the “microphone” input.
I find it so much easier to just speak out loud and dictate what problem I am having.
Here is exactly what I said:
"I have an old iPhone that’s blocked with too many bad attempts. What’s the best way to do a hard reset?"
Boom! Step-by-step guidance at my fingertips.
It was like magic—simple, smooth, and straight to the point. No frills, no fuss.
The part I like the most, that I can’t do with Youtube or Google, is that I can make it interactive.
For instance, I can then say, “Ok I turned off the iPhone now what?”.
Or, “I am now seeing this on the screen, what do I do?”
And so it makes it much easier.
Long story short, I came back out of the room after 25 minutes and handed my father-in law his unlocked iPhone after having been locked for a few months.
2) Changing WiFi name and password
Another quick one for you while I was down here in Colombia.
The family wanted to reset the router name and password.
I genuinely did not know where to start.
It walked me through each step, from finding the router’s IP address to changing the password.
It felt like I had a tech guru sitting right next to me, guiding me through every click.
I know there’s a million and one AI tools today. I’m not saying ChatGPT is the only, or the best.
But what I am saying is having the mobile app version, and using the dictation mode is a game changer.
It allows you to express yourself so much more clearly while also keeping it conversational.
Things like:
Can you explain the last step?
I tried doing that but it didn’t work, what else do you recommend?
I am getting the following error message, what should I do?
You get the idea.
ChatGPT isn’t just an app; it’s a conversation.
You can use the free version of ChatGPT, but if you’re a heavy user like me the upgraded version for $20/mo is a no-brainer.
Hope this comes in handy,
Angelo
p.s. if you have 2 seconds, please vote below. I am thinking of starting a course to help people buy back their time.
Would you sign up for a course if I taught you exactly how to hire a VA and how to offload your email and calendar? |
