How We’re Letting Prospects Choose Their Own Sales Journey

This edition covers how offering both on-demand demos and webinars helped us convert more leads, faster.

A while back, I was looking at our sales calendar and noticed something that felt... off.

We were doing all the “right” things: scheduling demos, customizing decks, running one-on-one calls. But we were losing a certain type of lead—especially from smaller venues or busy operators. Not because they weren’t interested. But because they just didn’t have the time.

Some needed to see what WISK was about without hopping on a call. Others wanted something more interactive and personal before committing.

So we asked ourselves a simple question:

 Why not let them choose?

That’s when we decided to build two separate experiences:

  1. Demo on Demand – for curious operators who prefer to browse on their own terms.

  2. E-Webinars / Live Demos – for decision-makers who are ready to dive deeper.

Spoiler: this shift has changed everything.

Why We Created a Demo on Demand

Let’s face it—operators are insanely busy. If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant, bar, or multi-unit group, you know how chaotic the day can be. Scheduling a 30-minute product demo often feels like a luxury.

We kept hearing:

  • “Can you just send me a video of how it works?”

  • “Do I need to talk to someone to see what WISK actually does?”

  • “I don’t have time right now, but I’m curious.”

So we created a Demo on Demand—something clean, short, and powerful. Not a 45-minute snoozefest. A sharp, self-guided walkthrough of our platform that shows:

  • How WISK connects to over 60+ POS systems

  • What our variance and inventory tools look like in action

  • The time-saving features operators care about most

And most importantly: it required zero scheduling. No forms. No awkward “book a slot” popups. Just value—on demand.

What we quickly realized was that this gave prospects the space to explore without pressure. It made WISK feel like a partner, not a pitch.

Why We Didn’t Ditch Webinars and Live Demos

Now—just because Demo on Demand worked, doesn’t mean we abandoned our traditional demo flow.

For enterprise groups, franchise operators, or high-volume venues, nothing beats a live conversation. These buyers want to dive deep. They have technical questions. They want to see exactly how WISK will integrate into their workflows.

So we still run:

  • Live demos tailored to their tech stack (POS, accounting software, multiple locations, etc.)

  • Weekly e-webinars for prospects who want a guided experience but aren't ready for a 1:1

  • Follow-up workshops for groups needing internal buy-in across multiple stakeholders

The difference is, these sessions are now warmer. The people booking them often watched the Demo on Demand first. They show up informed. They’ve seen the interface. They already understand the problem we solve.

Which means we get to focus on the specifics that matter most to their business.

Results: More Clarity, Less Friction

Since offering both options, here’s what’s changed:

✅ Demo attendance rate has increased. When you remove friction, more people engage.
✅ Sales cycles are faster. Prospects come to us pre-qualified and educated.
✅ Conversion quality is better. We spend time with the right people at the right time.

And a surprising bonus?

Some operators who watched the on-demand demo didn’t just book a call—they sent it to their teams. They used it internally to build the case for WISK before we even got on the phone.

In essence, the Demo on Demand became a scalable pre-sales asset—a 24/7 rep that worked while we slept.

How We Built It

A few people have asked what tools we used. It’s simple:

  • Loom + Descript for recording and editing

  • Vimeo + HubSpot for hosting and tracking views

  • Zapier to tag users who watched and notify our sales team

  • Calendly embedded after the video for those who wanted to book a deeper session

We kept the messaging tight. Focused on real operator pain points. And made the transitions seamless—so it felt like a conversation, not a funnel.
